Bright and bold colors and fruity inspiration are at the heart of this gorgeous Denise Lin styled shoot. Wanting to evoke warmth and joy, D’Love Affair Weddings & Events heralded in the yummiest tropical-style hues and, along with the floral stylings from Sunflower Florist, made sure to use every possible citrus fruit imaginable. With it, they paired the sunny colors with berry-toned pomegranate place settings that added some lovely depth to this summery editorial.
From the event planner, D’Love Affair Weddings & Events: Photographed by Denise Lin Photography and styled by D’Love Affair Weddings & Events with vintage decor from Past Pieces, this editorial shoot was filled with bright, fruity details. Staged at the Pipe Shop in North Vancouver, the duo teamed up to create a refreshing decor inspiration with a palette of vibrant citrus colors. Nothing looks fresher for a summer wedding than a combination of soft peach, bright orange and cream hues! The beautiful tablescape, topped with multiple floral arrangements by Sunflower Florist, was inspired completely by summer citrus. Lemons, limes and oranges were placed on the table to add a splash of color. With the use of a clean calligraphy style script on handmade paper, CoConibs Calligraphy designed a custom stationery suite that complimented the tablescape perfectly. The pomegranate place cards with gold calligraphy also add a nice rustic vibe to the overall theme. The Sweet Alley crafted a stunning three-tier marbled cake with white chocolate drizzle and bright-colored blooms, as well as mini cakes and cupcakes to match.
The gorgeous “Poppy” dress for the model was designed by Pure Magnolia. The details of the lace are complemented with a low back with cross spaghetti straps and a skirt with a flowing chapel train. Makeup and hair artist Faye Smith used her expert touch to create a soft and feminine bridal look with glowing natural makeup and an elegant braided hairstyle. The jewelry pieces from Olive + Piper completed the model’s look by bringing the perfect bit of vintage glam.
